The Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state Working Committee on wednesday paid a 3 fold visit to the former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his Abeokuta home.

The lagos PDP team which was led by the party's chairman, Tunji Shelle, also had some leaders of the party in attendance.

Speaking, Tunji Shelle described the visit as; to empathise with the former president on the recent unfortunate fire incidence at his office section within the abeokuta house; rejoicing with the former president for witnessing the new year in good health; and to particularly get his blessing to make the party a winning party in the state.

The former president thanked the lagos PDP team for their efforts and wisdom in moving the party forward in the state.

He however regretted that the Party has not been able to win the State. He admonished the leaders to eschew self centeredness and reconcile their differences in the overall interest of the party and lagosians whom he believes are craving for change in the state.

The former President prayed for the success of the present State working committee headed by Tunji Shelle.

Addressing the Press outside the premises, the state Chairman, tunji Shelle pledged to bring all interest on board as the task to win lagos State from the ACN is a joint project. He eulogised the inestimable worth of the former president in the Nations Politics in general and SouthWest in particular.

‘’Baba’s advice is invaluable and we are going back to Lagos as a happy family.

``We would return to build our party on the platform of his advice in order to re-launch our party into recognition, ‘’ he said.
